Anders J. Lindstrom, a Swedish national, joined Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden, Thailand in 1990.
Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden is a 500-acre (2.0 km2) botanical garden and tourist attraction in Chonburi Province, 165 km south west of Bangkok, Thailand. The garden is the largest botanic garden in South-ast Asia and has the biggest private collection of plants in the world. Besides accepting tourists, the garden hosts various seminars for students and schoolchildren. It also has its own school of landscape design.
Anders manages and curates the botanical collections and also oversees the landscape design and international plant conservation projects.
He has joined and authored and co-authored several groundbreaking research projects such as the first Genome on the species of Cycads. For the past 30 years, involvement in initiatives related to the management of genetic resources, with an emphasis on Cycads.
