The International Garden Tourism Conference supports gardens around the world in sharing experiences and best practices in Destination Development and Destination Promotion. We will bring together speakers and delegates from the world’s renowned gardens, tourism boards, (online) travel industry and (social) media in Victoria, BC on Vancouver Island, home to many of Canada’s most popular and beautiful gardens.
For Who?
This conference is relevant to the management (director, marketing, horticulture, exhibitions) of any garden, festival or horticultural expo, that wishes to expand and broaden visitation and create impactful guest experiences. In fact, we encourage gardens to team up with their regional or national destination promotion agency and (online) travel operators to attend the conference together, in order to develop new insights and opportunities to drive visitation to your place and region.
Organization
This conference is organized by the International Garden Tourism Network, a non-profit organization and hosted by the Canadian Garden Council with the support of Destination Greater Victoria. The International Garden Tourism Conference has been organized for many years in Metz France until 2016. Since then, regional conferences in North America and Asia continued to be organized. IGTN intends to continue the International edition on a bi-annual basis, starting in 2023 in Victoria, BC.
